Montana is full of things to do with Recreational activities abound! If you can spare some vacation time, coming out a few days in advance or staying after the wedding, would make for a nice Holiday.
FISHING
Madison, Yellowstone and Gallatin Rivers are all within 30 minutes of Bozeman and offer blue ribbon trout fishing. No boats are allowed on the Gallatin, but all rivers are wadable. If you are interested in taking a guided trip, there are several fly shops in the area that would be glad to assist you and provide licenses.

HIKING
This is a great time of the year to hike! The colors are gorgeous and the weather is mild, so bring your hiking boots. Below are some of our favorite hikes and ones that are easy to access from Bozeman.
The M Trail
At the base of the Bridger Range, a bit steep but well traveled and offers great views of Bozeman and the Gallatin Valley. About 3 miles round tripSypes Canyon
Just north of Bozeman, very near Springhill. A little complicated to find the trailhead, but hotels should be able to assist with directions. Also in the Bridger Range, a longer hike and more varied terrain, also offers great views at the top. About 6 miles round trip.Hyalite Reservoir
Any of the Hikes around Hyalite Reservoir- some are short, flat and paved, while others are more strenuous day hikes. The Reservoir is about 15 minutes to the South of Bozeman.Lava Lake
In the Gallatin Canyon, about halfway from Bozeman. An intermediate hike, with steeper terrain for the last half mile. Leads to a Mountain lake, rumor has it that there are fish here. 6 miles round trip.Bozeman Creek Trail
Also south of Town about 5 minutes, a flatter trail, runs along a creek and well traveled. This trail is 11 miles long, but most people hike what they want and turn around.
THE PARKS
Yellowstone National Park
We are fortunate to have such a great space so close to us! From Bozeman you can get to the park through the North or West entrances, the North is a little closer. If you plan to go to the park, allow at least a full day, as you will want to stop often. There are accommodations in the park, if you want to stay a few nights.Grand Teton National Park
For those with more time, The Tetons are directly south of Yellowstone National Park and just North of Jackson, WY.
